Electric Motor Efficiency Testing

TÜV SÜD, Germany

Combined with a number of other systems, including a power analyzer, precision resistance meter, variable voltage and frequency 3-phase sinusoidal power source, our team conducted electric motor efficiency testing for TÜV SÜD facilities in Germany. With versatile testing systems ranging from 2 to 8 pole motors from 10 watts to 2 megawatts, we were able to effectively test the motor in accordance with the client’s needs.

Electric Motor Test System

MET for Varying Motors in Different Use Stages and Environments

Dyno One MET systems put motors of any size or type through thorough and accurate testing. Our systems are designed to test for different levels of mechanical and environmental efficiency, and test motors at different load points and conditions. This ensures all stakeholders, from manufacturers to consumers to regulatory bodies can be confident in the motor’s performance.

Efficiency Testing

MET can determine the efficiency level of the motor according to International Efficiency Classes, NEMA classifications, and additional standards.

Load Testing

Test the motor at varying load points to assess the performance under different conditions. This allows you to see how the motor may actually perform in the customer’s hands.

Loss Calculations

Take a closer look at the motor and determine the level and type of losses the motor experiences, including losses to friction, wind, rotor losses, and more.
