Dyno One Projects: New Automated Exhaust System

Customer: CAT

Overview

The CAT engine production facility in Griffin, GA required upgraded capabilities to one of their test cells. The goal was to be able to test tier 4 emissions compliant engines. The new exhaust arms were designed to be fully sealed, incorporate a restrictor valve, and cover the required envelope of all engines produced. The envelope of reach was stretched to be larger than previously due to the introduction of the new engine test. Dyno One worked with CAT to fulfill mechanical engineering and design of the exhaust system, including the design and supply of a new manifold to accommodate the new engine test. After engineering Dyno One continued to support the manufacturing and integration of the project into the facility. The final product accomplished all performance requirements and operated exceptionally.
